Determination of Calcium, Magnesium and Aluminium in Magmatic Rocks after Ultrasonic Leaching by Flame AAS
نویسندگان
چکیده
A method of ultrasonic leaching has been developed for the destructive analysis of magmatic rock samples. This method was applied to determine three new elements, Ca, Mg and Al, in magmatic rock samples. The accuracy of the ultrasonic leaching method (CULM) was tested using standard reference materials (SRMs) and the recovery ratio as K1 = CULM/CSRM was defined. Another recovery ratio, K2, was also defined from the results of the conventional dissolution method (CDM), that is K2 = CULM/CCDM . The accuracy and precision of the method are comparable with those of conventional methods. The following recovery ratios were obtained for Ca, Mg and Al, respectively. 96% < K1,Ca <112% and 95% < K2,Ca <112%, 93% < K1,Mg <109% and 94% < K2,Mg <108% and 91% < K1,Al <102% and 94% < K2,All <107%.

Polyelectrolyte Multilayers on Magnetic Silica as a New Sorbent for the Separation of Trace Silver in the Leaching Solutions of Antibacterial Products and Determination by Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
A novel, magnetic silica sorbent with polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEMs) on its surface was prepared, and was used for Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction (MSPE) of trace A+ via Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (FAAS). The experimental parameters for the MSPE procedure, such as the pH, type, and concentration of eluent, ultrasonic time and effects of co-existing ions wer...

The objective of this work was the development and validation of atomic absorption spectrometric (AAS) methods for the determination of residual active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in rinse samples for cleaning validation. AAS as an indirect method for the determination of API in rinse samples can be applied when it is in the form of salt with metal ions or when the metal ion is a part of t...
متن کاملFlame photometric determination of electrolytes in tissue and of calcium in serum.
The convenience and accuracy of flame photometric methods for the determination of sodium and potassium in body tissues and fluids suggest the desirability of determining other cations such as calcium and magnesium in the same sample. While reliable procedures for the determination of sodium and potassium have been developed (1, 2), there are apparently no satisfactory flame spectrophotometric ...

Eocene volcanic and volcano- sedimentary rocks cover a large area in the Gardaneh Ahovan northeast of Semnan. These rocks comprise mainly of basalt, andesite, trachyandesite, rhyolite and dacite with hyalo porphyry, porphyry and glomeroporphyry textures. The basaltic rocks are composed of plagioclase and clinopyroxene phenocrysts. Sericite, kaolinite, calcite and chlorite also form the secondar...
متن کاملManaging Soil Acidity
The minerals from which a soil is formed partly determine whether it is acid or alkaline. Soils formed from acidic rocks have a lower pH than those formed from basic rocks or alkaline parent material. Rainfall affects soil acidity development by leaching basic elements such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, and sodium from the soil profile, leaving the acidic elements: hydrogen, aluminum and ma...
